CASE Kent Out and About for the Aiming High Project

Please find below PDF's containing details of the activities that are available for the October half term through CASE Kent Out and About for the Aiming High Project across East Kent.

These activities are open to disabled children and young people living in or attending school in East Kent who are not already accessing a short break service or who do not currently receive 100 hours per annum of short breaks from Disabled Children Services or Community Paediatric Nursing Services, and are in receipt of disability living allowance at the following levels:

  • Higher Care and Higher Mobility
  • Higher Care and Lower Mobility
  • Higher Care only
  • Higher Mobility only
  • Middle Care and Higher Mobility
  • Middle Care only
  • Middle Care and Lower Mobility

These will include:

  • Children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • Children and young people with Down's Syndrome
  • Children and young people with complex health needs/life limiting conditions
  • A child with complex health needs physical cognitive and sensory impairments
  • Children and young people with moving and handling needs that require equipment and adaptations
  • Children and young people with challenging behaviour, whose behaviour is associated with other impairments
  • Young people 14 plus who are severely disabled and require services appropriate for their age

CASE Kent’s Out and About team have also arranged family day trips for the October half term, details of which are also below.
