SNAAP is unique: there are no other local organisations which provide the extensive range of services to children with every kind of disability, aged from 0-19 years, in partnership with parents. The focus of the services is upon all of the child's needs including educational, social, developmental and emotional. We focus upon the whole family and not just on the child with disabilities.

The project was developed by Contact a Family in response to parents and carers feelings of isolation and frustration. A consultation funded by the Canterbury Children's Fund, highlighted a lack of support and information and also very little leisure opportunities for children with disabilities or special needs.

As a needs-led organisation, SNAAP's services are developed to meet these needs.

Project Manager Carrie Wood ...provides support, information and advice to parents and carers and professionals who work with them. Carrie is also develops new services for our families and can be contacted to discuss any concerns, fundraising ideas or services you would like to see.
Leisure Development Co-ordinator Natalie Simmons ... is responsible for running the clubs, helping provide school holiday activities and co-ordinates the volunteers.
Leisure Events Co-ordinator Hester Hathaway ...is responsible for organising all activities including fun sessions, taster sessions and days out.
Early Years Co-ordinator Angela Ralph ...is responsible for running our 2 preschool groups.
