SNAAP relies heavily on volunteers for all of its services which are primarily required in Canterbury, Whitstable, and Herne Bay. Volunteer roles include supporting disabled children at our [[Sports Club]] (Canterbury), [[Youth Club]] (Whitstable) and [[SNAAP-EYs|SNAAP-EY’s]] (Canterbury & Herne Bay) as well as our activities during school holidays, such as, family fun sessions and days out. **What is the role of a volunteer within SNAAP?** Volunteers are asked to play alongside our SNAAP members, supporting staff to ensure the children and young people are safe at all times and are all able to participate as best they can, but most importantly ensure everybody has a good time. **Volunteers to assist with fundraising** Volunteers are also needed to plan and organise regular [[fundraising]] activities. Being a charity it is a continual struggle to gain funds to enable us to carry out regular activities with the children and their families. Having enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers coming up with new and fun ways to gain more funds would ensure that SNAAP are able to provide as many opportunities as possible for families to access a wide range of activities. If this is of interest to you, we have a fund raising team who meets on a regular basis to discuss upcoming events as well as organise more events.
